Freelance Web & Print design
Hello and welcome to Cookies & Java the freelance site of Chris Walley, I am a full time freelance graphic designer based in Perton* specialising in design for both Web and print. I have a history in design spanning back ten years in which I've learnt a lot, I charge a fair rate of £35ph and work fast. My unique offering is the convenience of friendly local based freelance graphic design with a professional approach and wide range of related skills usually only found in design agencies.
By professional I mean:
- Constructing accurate and detailed quotes
- Delivering results on time and on spec
- Keeping your business interests at heart
- Working to strict internal procedures
- Being available on the phone during standard working hours
- Telling you if I think something is a bad idea and justifying why
- Maintaining a proactive attitude to your needs
I have worked with clients who range from individuals starting up their own companies to huge international corporations and understand the differences between business to business markets and business to consumer markets. I don't have a preference, I like meeting all sorts of new people and helping with the challenges they face.
Whether you're trying to get your own small business off the ground or keep your established organisation on the ground I'm very excited to talk to you.

Working with marketers
Want to talk about the communications mix? Need someone who isn't going to glaze over when you mention the Ansoff matrix or Porter's Five forces? Worried your designer is going to be more hung up on what font they use rather than the call to action? I've worked closely with marketers and understand the need for good strategic marketing, I am currently a student member of CIM and a keen subscriber to Revolution magazine. I don't profess to be a true marketeer, but I understand what marketers need from me.
Working with agencies
I also offer my services to agencies looking to extend their offering or reduce their workload. For this I appreciate the need to operate as a member of the team and respect the agency client relationship.
